Got some fresh shots of Harry Reid the other day during the State Democratic Party Convention at Bally's. I was in love with the blue and red lit curtains near to entrance to the stage, and was determined to make some sort of photo incorporating them. If it's not obvious, it was not the most exciting assignment...just speaker after speaker after speaker for almost four hours. Thanks to Harry for standing still for so long next to the curtains!

Recent Reid Rallies
Without showing any photos of the actual candidate or his famous stumpers as of late, here are some of my favorite shots from the past two Harry Reid rallies. Also included are my two favorite baby photos from said rallies.
(Please go to the respective Las Vegas Sun galleries if you want to see photos of the actual Harry Reid, Manny Pacquiao or Michelle Obama.)

The (Non) Debate
Yesterday I showed up for what I thought was going to be a lame event: Two gubernatorial candidates making separate boring speeches, not taking questions and maybe shaking hands afterward inside of the dimly-lit casino conference room with bad carpet. It turned out to be a little bit more fun. Rory Reid, the Democratic candidate, challenged Brian Sandoval, the Republican, to an impromptu debate during the Nevada Subcontractors Association annual luncheon. I got some funny pictures of them crowding a single podium and Sandoval's surprised face when Reid made the challenge. A much more interesting afternoon, photographically...
